Niseko Camps
Why not let Si make your dreams come true and ride the best powder in the world whilst experiencing a unique culture and meeting some of the worlds friendliest people. Si has been operating in Hokkaido for 5 seasons now and knows the area and its weather systems very well. This is key to getting the most out of your trip.
We run two kinds of trips in Hokkaido one is based in Niseko, taking in Kiroro, Moiwa and Rusutsu and the other is split between Niseko area and the North, mainly around the Furano, Ashahidake and Pippu areas. By doing this you get to experience a different part of Hokkaido and find the best conditions on offer.
Our accommodation in Niseko is in a lovely chalet 8 mins from Grand Hirafu at Country Resort. The chalet is fully equipped and is a lovely place to hang out at the end of a days riding. When we are in the North we stay at the Natalux hotel in Furano.
Your transfers to and from Chitose airport will be organised for you and included in the price. Transfer time is 2.5 hours.
There is a minibus to get us up and down the hill and to go to other resorts. I try to go to at least 2 other resorts a week, sometimes three depending on the snow conditions at the time.
Lift passes are supplied for Niseko and any other resorts we may go to. Night riding is available but is not included in the price.
If you would prefer to not bring your own board there is a powder board for you to use. It’s the perfect tool for the job.
If possible we will attempt to summit the volcano called Yotei during your stay on snow shoes and ride back down. It’s a 5-7 hour hike but well worth it.
Meals are not included but as the chalet is fully equipped if you would like to cook at home its very easy to do so. Most people only cook breakfast and choose to eat out most evenings or order in. The food in and around the resorts is excellent and isn’t any more expensive than alpine resorts. There are also many very cool cocktail bars in Niseko. Furano is much more basic and has a Japanese feel.
Guiding and coaching starts at 8:30am and finishes at 1:00pm and is included in the price. Your lift pass allows you to ride all day if you want to.
